Hi, I’m Chrisoula.

I lead design at the intersection of systems, space, and intelligence—crafting frameworks that help environments interpret context, respond with clarity, and evolve over time.

My work bridges spatial design, interaction, and embedded intelligence. I focus on building the underlying models and interfaces that allow complex systems to behave in ways that feel coherent, legible, and attuned to real-world context—whether through sensing, automation, or cross-surface interaction.

At Google, I lead design for Home Intelligence within the Google Home team, where I’ve helped define how context, presence, and automations shape the smart home experience. I previously led ambient computing initiatives for Google Assistant, building platforms for cross-surface interaction across wearables, smart home devices, and embedded systems.

Prior to Google, I was a researcher at the MIT Media Lab’s City Science Group, where I developed responsive systems at the intersection of architectural robotics, environmental sensing, and behavioral feedback. I’ve also worked on speculative identity systems at IDEO, data-driven urban sensing at Harvard’s REAL Lab, and performance-focused architecture at BKSK.

I hold a Master’s in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT, a Master of Architecture II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the City College of New York.

Send me an email if you’d like to chat.
